Hello Eagles!
We are entering our fifth week of the school year. Wow! With Back to School Night behind us, we have officially launched a positive start to our school year. Families are starting to develop daily routines like getting to school by 7:45am! School begins promptly by 8:00 am. School routines like charging your chromebook the night before, packing lunches or preparing backpacks are important to help with your child’s independence and success! Want to know more? Before School or After School Music Program
This year, Ms. Kairys has joined our Pioneer team! She is a musician with a passion and love for music! All students will continue to have music class weekly. During her personal time, she has offered 5 after school groups (2 in the fall and 3 in the spring), similar to past years. However, this year, we will have K-1 performances as a part of school assemblies, possibly in the spring concert, and at New Haven Day. Stay tuned for more information. Cyber Safety
It is important that we actively monitor our children in the digital world. Such apps as TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc. are not intended for elementary students. Many have an age limit due to content and access to inappropriate media. Any type of Cyberbullying is not acceptable and suspendable under our California Education Code Section 48900.
Please help us keep our school safe by speaking with your child about what is an acceptable use of technology. For more information, please view resources on Common Sense Education. There is a video called Online Risks: Practicing Safety in a Digital World.
