Welcome back Eagles!
We’ve had a full week of learning and preparation for the start of SBAC State testing. The week started with activities and conversations about the solar eclipse! Students wrote, drew, and talked about this teachable moment. From our lower elementary grades exploring how the Earth goes around the Sun, to our upper grades looking at the projection and path of totality. All great learning moments. If you’d like to see some of the things we’ve explored, check out these websites:

Next week, students in grades 3-5 will start state CAASPP testing. It’s important students come prepared with their chromebooks charged! Remember, we have breakfast at 7:30. It would be wonderful if you could remind students of how proud we are of them and all that we ask is that they do their best. It is not a timed test and it’s not part of their school grade. It’s moment to let them know what they understand. Please be sure students come to school on time. Once testing begins, students who come late may not enter rooms til the testing period is over. ~Thank you!
