Hello Eagles,
Ms. Mata sent communication regarding the incident on Friday where an individual was seen by a staff member and escorted off campus. Per safety, procedure, the police were contacted. During this incident, it was our priority to keep students safe as we follow direction from UCPD and implement our site safety plan. We may not notify families right away during the incident, but will send communication to follow up. As many of you know, our staff actively monitors who is on campus throughout the day and we keep our gates closed and locked. Any visitors during the school day are asked to come through the office to check in and out. As we return on Monday, we will check in with students and support as needed. Please contact your child’s teacher or administrator if you have any questions. Thank you for being our partner in keeping our students safe at Pioneer!
A reminder that our annual Open House on Wednesday, March 20! I invite you to come and visit the Book Fair in the Media Center from 5:00-6:00 pm. Board Member Rafay and the Union City Family Center will have a booth for you to visit. PTC is arranging foodtrucks! They will be in front of the school. Classrooms will be open from 6-7pm. Come by and see all the wonderful things that are happening at Pioneer!
Also, it’s not too late… Summer School will be at Pioneer this year! If you are interested, sign up using the QR code on the flyer or on our website. We’re looking forward to another fun summer!
