Hello Eagles,
Often, when families ask their child how their day went, children respond in one or two words like- “Fine” or “okay.” While that may be an acceptable answer, we hope that you try a few of the ones below. We hope to help your child develop language and by asking them to elaborate, it helps practice skills like critical thinking and fluency. Try one of these below.
We support our young learners by asking questions like:
– What was the funniest thing that happened today?
– What’s something cool you learned?
– What’s one thing you’re looking forward to doing tomorrow?
– Did you have a chance to ask any questions in class?
– Do you learn or discover something today?
Try some of these after school with your child!
