2023-2024 Home School Connection, week 14

Hello Eagles,

November is a month of gratitude! Our Character Strong Program focuses on ways we can show our gratitude towards others. Check out the following Words of Wisdom announcements this week from our upper grade students:

“Gratitude is a way to express your appreciation for someone or something. Gratitude is one of my favorite traits because it’s letting other people know that you are grateful for them, and for everything they have down for you. Gratitude can happen anytime, anywhere. Gratitude is super easy to express. Just by hugging someone and letting them know they mean a lot to you is using gratitude. Giving someone a hand with something, or asking if they are okay, is already doing much. Gratitude, like I said before, is such an easy thing to express and or show. Gratitude can be expressed right here right now. You could turn to your teacher, and thank them for all they have taught you and everything that will be taught in the upcoming months… Like Oprah Winfrey once said, Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you have, you will never ever have enough.”~ Morsel

“What gratitude means to me is being thankful for everything , no matter what it is. Gratitude means being appreciative no matter what has gone and come throughout my life. Gratitude is the quality of being thankful, and showing appreciation to return kindness. It is important to be thankful for everything in your life because when you think about the stuff you don’t have, there are those who wish they had nothing at all. John F. Kennedy once said, As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. Gratitude is being positive about what you have, and not being negative about what you wish you had.” ~ Dyani

We are grateful for our Pioneer community. Thank you Families for your partnership and support!

Please check our Home School Connection, week 14  for important calendar dates!  Daylight Savings is on Sunday and there is no school on Thursday and Friday.
