Hello Eagles,
I want to share a brief personal update. Last week, I sustained an Achilles tendon injury that has required me to be away from campus. I expect to remain out through this week and will receive further guidance from my physician by Friday. I’m eager to be back on campus with our students and staff as soon as I am cleared.
In the meantime, the school continues to run smoothly. Assistant Principal Heather Viscia-King is leading campus operations, and I am truly grateful to her and the entire Pioneer staff for their support and teamwork while I’ve been out. Beginning next week, the school will have an administrator on campus each day to ensure consistent support for our students and staff. If any questions or concerns come up, our school office is here to help and support you. I am also checking email regularly and remain available if you need anything.
I want to thank the Boys and Girls Club for all of their hard work as we have transitioned to their program after school. They have been working hard to become a part of the Pioneer community and serve our students after school. They will be working over the next several weeks to start processing students off of the waiting list. Those of you on the waiting list should be hearing from them soon. Thank you Boys and Girls Club!!!

This is an opportunity for you to provide Pioneer and New Haven Unified feedback on our progress as a district. The link to the survey is here: LCAP Survey. Please try to get the survey completed by the end of the month. Your Feedback is very important to us!!!
We have several important events coming up in the next several weeks and we would love to see you on the Pioneer campus. Next Friday, February 6th, the PTC will be holding its monthly Coffee Social. Please be there at 7:45am at the blue tables in front of the cafeteria. Please stop by if you can! The week after, PTC will be holding a family dance party in the cafeteria starting at 6:30pm on Friday February, 13th. Please be on the lookout for other upcoming events and we look forward to having you on campus.
