Hello Pioneer Families,
We hope everyone had a wonderful start to the 2026–2027 school year! It has been exciting to welcome our students back to campus and see our Eagles learning, reconnecting with friends, and settling into their new classrooms. Beginning this week, the Home to School Connections Bulletin will be sent home every other week.
If you haven’t already done so, please complete the Parent Confirmation Process in the Aeries Parent Portal. It is important to keep your student’s up to date. Families who qualify may be eligible for valuable benefits, including a free transit pass, the PG&E CARE Program, internet discounts, and a P-EBT card. Click HERE to learn more and request an FRPM Eligibility Letter.
If you did not receive a Welcome Back Letter, copies are available in the school office and on our website. Click HERE to view them online.
As we settle into our school routines, please continue to use extreme caution when driving around campus. The student drop-off and pick-up lane in front of the school is for quick loading and unloading only. If you would like to walk your child to class, please park on the street and walk onto campus. Please do not drop your student off in the Staff Parking lot, we do not want your student walking across the parking lot to get to their classrooms. Your cooperation helps keep our students, families, and staff safe.
If you were not able to join us at our TK/Kindergarten Meet and Greet, click on this LINK for the slide.
We wanted to thank all the parents who were able to join us at the PTC Coffee Social last Friday. It was great to get to know parents, introduce our new Assistant Principal, Ms. Brown, and talk about how to get more involved with the school. For more information on how to become a part of PTC, click this LINK. If you would like additional information about how to help with the upcoming Book Fair, click this LINK. Pioneer and the PTC look forward to your support.
Another way you can be more involved in the Pioneer Community is to join the School Site Council. School Site Council is a group of teachers, parents, administration, and classified staff who meet to help advise and talk about policy at Pioneer Elementary. We do things such as review the school Safety Plan, review the School Plan and make recommendations on how we spend our Title 1 money that supports our at-risk students. We currently have 2 open parent positions on School Site Council. If you, or someone you know, would like to run for one of our open seats, please fill out the nomination form, using this LINK. The nomination form will be open from August 10th to August 14th. More information regarding the election will follow after the nomination period is over.
As a reminder, this is our first regular week of school. TK/K students will attend from 8:00am to 11:20am. Students in grades 1 to 5 will attend from 8:00am to 2:05am.
Thank you for your partnership and support as we begin another wonderful year at Pioneer. We look forward to an amazing year of learning, growth, and success together.
