September’s Character Strong Theme is RESPECT! Students learn every day that we are faced with choices. We can choose to show kindness, be responsible, and work hard. As Dr. Wayne Dyer once said, “Our lives are the sum total of the choices we make each day.” Respect means treating others the way we would like to be treated and honoring the things that make each of us unique. One way we show respect is by valuing each other’s cultures. For example, some people wear a hijab, turban, or patka—a head covering that is very special to them. We show respect by not touching it and by honoring their choice to wear it. When we respect one another, we create a school where everyone feels safe, valued, and proud of who they are.
It’s time! You can register your student for our Pioneer Fun Run! Our goal is to raise $50,000 for supporting student classroom activities, enhancing learning opportunities through school assemblies, recorders for music class, and supplemental materials for media class and hands-on science experiments. This year, a majority of our prizes will be earned based on email shares! Signing up is easy and comes with a fun prize for your student!
