2024-2025 Home School Connection, week 36

Hello Eagles,

May is here! As we begin to close out another incredible school year, we want to take a moment to reflect on how proud we are of our students. Their growth, resilience, and enthusiasm for learning have truly been inspiring. Whether it was tackling new challenges in the classroom, working collaboratively with peers, or showing kindness in everyday moments, each child has contributed something special to our school community.

Your support as families has been an essential part of that success. Thank you for your partnership, encouragement, and belief in your child’s learning journey.

📚 Avoiding the Summer Slide

Similar to planning summer vacations, it’s important to also start thinking about the summer slide! Research shows that students can lose significant academic progress over the summer without regular practice. Keeping learning light but consistent makes a big difference. Aim for a balance of structured learning and open-ended exploration. Start planning some books and build routines for the summer months. Remember, learning doesn’t always look like school—it happens through conversations, curiosity, and creativity.

Next week is our Staff Appreciation week for our Teachers! Please help us show them some love for the work they do every day! Don’t miss important updates! Click on the Home School Connection, week 36 for dates to calendar and a note from ms. Kairys!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Alday
