2024-2025 Home School Connection, week 31

Hello Eagles,

Thank you for joining us at our annual Open House! We truly appreciate your time and support in celebrating our students and their hard work. It was wonderful to see so many families exploring our school and engaging in the special activities we had planned.

We hope you enjoyed browsing the Book Fair, where students discovered exciting new reads. Camp Read Aloud was a cozy and engaging way to share the joy of storytelling, and the food trucks provided a delicious treat for all to enjoy. Of course, the highlight of the evening was the classroom presentations, where students proudly shared their learning and accomplishments with you. Here is a video clip capturing some of the night. As always, it was wonderful seeing you! And for those who gave feedback, we will continue to make it even more fun next year! Thank you for your continued support in making our school community strong. We are grateful for the partnership between home and school and look forward to more opportunities to connect throughout the year. Open House 2025: VIDEO CLIP

❤️A final note from Mr. Baustista…

To Our Pioneer Eagles Family:
My time as the long-term substitute for Music is coming to an end. I wanted to let you all know it has been an honor and a pleasure to teach here at Pioneer, thank you all for giving me the opportunity to make a musical impact at my Elementary Alma Mater.  It’s been really amusing to think I’ve been able to teach in the same classroom I attended for so many years way back in the 90’s – amazing how life can bring us back full-circle.

Thank you to our Chorus and Ensembles (and families!) as well as our Pioneer staff and administration team for supporting this program and allowing us to put together an amazing Spring Concert at the JLHS Center for Performing Arts in February! I was so humbled to be alongside so many talented and dedicated budding musicians and feel the energy and excitement during our performance. I hope they continue to make music and share their talents as they continue in their education and life journeys. This has been a truly special experience and I hope that you students enjoyed their time with me.

I look forward to seeing everyone again at New Haven Day in April – take good care my friends!  Until next time, Eagles out!

Sincerely,
Jonathan Bautista
