Hello Eagles,
We have come so far in our reading journey this year! Our students have been working hard to build their reading skills and stamina, and we are so proud of their progress. As we prepare for state and spring testing, we encourage you to continue supporting your child at home—this is the time to keep pushing forward, not to give up! Here are some ways you can help your child build reading stamina and set them up for success:
-
📚 Encourage daily reading – Even 20–30 minutes a day can make a big difference.
-
⏳ Gradually increase reading time – If your child struggles to stay focused, start with shorter periods and build up.
-
🗣 Discuss what they read – Talking about the story helps with comprehension and engagement.
-
🎯 Set small goals – Celebrate milestones, whether it’s finishing a chapter, a book, or reaching a reading time goal.
Thank you for your continued support in helping our students grow as readers. Together, we can ensure they are confident and prepared for the challenges ahead!
